The new pharmacy building at the University Hospital in Olomouc consists of two masses.
The bigger mass houses the main operation of the pharmacy, ie the laboratory operation, specialized workplaces for sterile preparation and the department for diluting cytostatics. In the basement, there is a central drug store for the entire hospital, which is accessible for packing from the back of the pharmacy thanks to the sloping terrain. The windows, with their circular or oval shape, symbolize tablets or ampoules.
The second mass of the building is the ground floor elongated part oriented to the busy I.P.Pavlova street. Here is the public part of the pharmacy, ie the store of medicines and medical devices. Towards the street, the facade is glazed and attracts passers-by to visit.
The extension of the Pedagogical Faculty offers its students new lecture halls, specialist classrooms and an outdoor recreation area.
