Trida Svobody boulevard is one of the most significant streets in the centre of Olomouc. Vienna architect Camillo Sitte designed it as a circular boulevard around the town at the end of the 19th century. The north end of the boulevard has never been fully completed.

We have been asked to design a multifunctional building that would fill in the gap on the boulevard. The new building starts at the same height as the next-door bank, and it gradually declines to match the existing construction at the north end. We decided to combine various sizes and shapes of blocks to match the urban diversity of its surroundings. The assembly of blocks provides room for a compelling outdoor space and gardens.

The ground floor would be used for public services such as restaurants, cafes, or salons. The remaining floors are planned for residential or administrative purposes.
