Two five-storey residential buildings with a square floor plan are inserted into the plot area in Nový Jičín. The buldings are shifted from each other so that they do not obstruct the view and that the relaxation areas around the houses are preserved in the optimal range.
The masses of the houses are oriented parallel to the Jičínka riwer, as the most important line of the locality. They are not intentionally situated on one line, but bounce off each other to enhance the blending of the greenery. The effort to preserve to the maximum extent the existing greenery and the connection of greenery with the housing function led to the division of a given number of apartments into two masses. TThe garden is not only around one massive monoblock, but intertwined between the buildings.
Parking for both buildings will be located below ground level and its roof will be adapted to a residential garden green area. On the side of the Jičínka riverbed, the land of apartment buildings will be separated by a 1 m high retaining wall, which will help level the terrain above the underground garages and at the same time create the privacy of the apartment complex.
From a book warehouse to a cultural hall - this is a new life for the Red Church, which has been closed to the public for over sixty years.
