On Friday, November 24, 2023, the Foundation for the Development of Architecture and Construction held the announcement of prestigious titles and prizes in the 31st edition of the Construction of the Year competition show in Prague’s Rudolfinum. The jury awarded 13 buildings that won the title Building of the Year 2023. Among them was also the Reconstruction of the Red Church in Olomouc, which newly opened the church to the public. After a long time when the church served as a book warehouse, the Science Library in Olomouc will organize social and cultural events in it.

We are inviting you to a lecture by Miroslav Pospíšil about several buildings that we have recently implemented or are preparing in Olomouc and the surrounding area. As a part of the Olomouc Design Days project, Miroslav Pospíšil will use examples of some currently solved projects to show how the architecture awakens places to new life. There will be presented The Reconstruction of the Red Church, the rebuilding of the administrative building of the former Jednota in the city center or the fundamental modification of the passage in its neighborhood, as well as the planned reclamation of gardens and realization of a new cafe in the garden of the hospice at Svatý Kopeček near Olomouc.

The lecture takes place in one of these buildings, i.e. in The Red Church in Olomouc on November 25, 2023 from 5:30 p.m.

The association For Beautiful Olomouc awards the best buildings realized in the Olomouc region in a two-year interval. The expert jury included our project for The Reconstruction of The Red Church this year among the 9 finalists who were awarded a diploma. The handover took place inside the reconstructed church.

A total of 38 nominations for the title Building of the Year 2023 out of 110 submitted buildings were presented on Monday, September 4, 2023, at the gala nomination evening in the Transport Hall of the National Technical Museum in Prague. Among the nominated buildings is also The Reconstruction of the Red Church in Olomouc.

Traditionally, you can also cast your vote for your favorite building in the public vote until Thursday 23/11/2023 at 24:00, when the voting will be closed and the voting results will be announced at the gala evening on Friday 24/11/2023 in the Rudolfinum in Prague. Helfštýn Castle Palace Reconstruction has won Dezeen Awards 2021 rebirth project of the year. The project is one of 11 architecture winners as decided by esteemed international panel of judges.

Miroslav Pospíšil and Martin Karlík received the Czech Architecture Award for the Helfštýn Castle Palace Reconstruction from the chairman of the Czech Chamber of Architects and chairman of the international jury of the competition.

Reconstruction of the Helfštýn Castle Palace was chosen by an expert jury as the winner of the Czech Building of the Year 2021.

The reconstruction of the Helfštýn Castle Palace was chosen by the public as the winner of the 2021 dezeen awards in the Rebirth project category. The public voted from five buildings selected by an expert jury from 4,700 registered constructions from all over the world.

Reconstruction of the Helfštýn Castle Palace was chosen by an expert jury as the winner of the Czech Interior Award of the Year 2020 in the Public Interior II category, in which the interiors of shops, services, schools, medical and cultural facilities were judged.

We are very proud that the reconstruction of Helfštýn Castle was selected by an expert jury at the shortlist dezeen awards among the 5 best realizations from all over the world in the Rebirth project category.

The Helfštýn Castle has been nominated for the Czech Architecture Award 2021 by the international jury of experts. This building is the only one from all the 30 selected buildings in Olomouc Region.

After 3 long years of the reconstruction, we are proud to witness the grand re-opening of Helfštýn Castle Palace. Come discover the castle palace ruins and its surroundings from the newly accessible higher levels of the palace.

The reconstruction of Helfštýn Castle Palace is coming to an end. The castle is planning to open to public in August  – visitors will be able to walk to the newly accessible parts of the palace and enjoy the picturesque views from the footbridges and rooftops.

Chateau Čechy pod Kosířem won an award in two categories! „The best historical sight renovation in Olomouc region“ chosen by the jury of experts and ‚The best historical sight of 2019 in the Czech Republic‘, public voted.

Šrot’s Residence opened to public during Architecture Day on 5th October 2019. We would like to extend our thanks to all the registered visitors. We are sorry for those who could not get inside for capacity reasons. We will inform you on our website and facebook as soon as we set up another sightseeing day.

The  National Sports Centre building in Prostějov has been nominated for the Czech Architecture Award 2019 by the international jury of experts. This building is the only one from all the 34 selected buildings in Olomouc Region.

We are part of the introduction of Czech Architecture Yearbook 2017-2018 collected by the lead contemporary Czech architect Luďek Rýznar. He has chosen two our buildings namely Vista Optik in Valašské Meziříčí and Faculty of Physical Culture in Olomouc.

The National Sports Centre in Prostějov has been chosen as the winner of the Building of the Year in Olomouc region in the Public Buildings and Public Spaces cathegory.

A new sport hall National Sports Centre in Prostějov has been ceremonially opened. Many supporters of the project attended the grand ceremony such as the minister of education, youth and sports, the governor of the region and the mayor of Prostějov.

Every other year the public association ‘For Beautiful Olomouc‘ selects a significant project in the city that deserves an appreciation. This year the Eduard Šrot’s residence reconstruction has been awarded Merit Certificate Rudolf Eitelberger’s Prize. Miroslav Pospíšil is the designer of the current building renovation, which serves as our architecture studio.

Our reconstruction of Chateau and adjacent buildings in Čechy pod Kosířem was announced the Building of the Year 2016 in Olomouc Region in the reconstruction and renovation category.

BALUO Application Centre won the Building of the Year 2016 in Olomouc Region in the public buildings and public spaces category.

Hodolany resort  gets Merit Certificate in the public buildings and public spaces category in the Building of the Year 2016 in Olomouc Region competition.
